The Dry Canyon fire is located outside Spring Valley State Park. Eagle Valley Reservoir is currently closed to boaters. Be mindful of emergency personnel assisting in the area. Check for updated alerts at parks.nv.gov/news.

Yesterday, two new fires ignited in Lincoln County, where the Grapevine and Kane Springs Fires are also burning.

🔥 Dry Canyon Fire: estimated 1,500 acres | 0% contained | 14 miles east of Pioche

🔥 Parsnip Peak Fire: estimated 300 acres | 0% contained | 18 miles northwest of Pioche

Hot, dry, and windy conditions are likely to drive extreme fire behavior today.

Well unfortunately we have bad news on the ice front! The majority of the reservoir is open water. On the positive side you can fish open water off of the boat dock for now. #
