W. Alan Summers Municipal Library W. Alan Summers Municipal Library (Clay Library) is located in Clay, Alabama, and is a member of the Jefferson County Library Cooperative.

Housed in a facility completed in 2018, the W.Alan Summers Municipal Library is one of the newest libraries in the Jefferson County Library Cooperative, opening in 2009. We have computers accessible to the public. We offer programs and special events for both children and adults, as well as one-on-one computer and eReader help sessions. Make plans to visit us soon. You might be surprised by what you find!

Join us at the library on Saturday, September 5th at 12 PM for the newest Cook the Book event! This time, we're cooking up recipes from $10 Dinners by Julie Grimes — everyone prepares a dish from the book, then we come together to share and enjoy!
Bring your favorite $10 Dinners recipe to share, and get ready to swap tips, tastes, and maybe a few new favorite meals!
