West County Mandarin School Parent Group West County Mandarin School is a TK-8 public (not charter) IB school in the WCCUSD. West County Mandarin school is an IB (International Baccalaureate) school.

We will be moving to the Pinole Middle School campus in Pinole, CA beginning the 2021-2022 school year. (WCMS will be in its own building separate from the middle school.) This page is for parents interested in the new West County Mandarin School, a Mandarin Immersion public school in the West Contra Costa Unified School District. WCMS will be accepting students for grades K-4th grade in the 2021-

2022 school year, adding a grade each year to become a K-8 school. Please note that this FB page was created and is maintained by parent volunteers and is not affiliated with/sponsored by the district. A day full of curiosity, creativity, and discovery 🔬

WCMS Science Fair 2026 was an inspiring showcase of young minds bringing science to life. From thoughtful hypotheses to hands-on experiments and interactive demonstrations, our students impressed us with their passion and dedication.

It was amazing to see them confidently share their findings with teachers, peers, and families; turning ideas into real learning experiences.

What a spectacular celebration we had for our Lunar New Year 2026 student performances at WCMS! 🎊

From the youngest TK to our 8th graders, every student showcased their hard work and dedication in remarkable ways. Their energy and enthusiasm lit up the stage, making it a truly memorable event.
