Today, we share news that is both bittersweet and filled with gratitude.

After a distinguished career dedicated to serving and protecting the community, Chief Hudgins, has announced his retirement. Chief Hudgins’ leadership, compassion, and commitment to public service have left a lasting impact on our department and the residents we are honored to serve.

While we will greatly miss Chief Hudgins, we are grateful for the foundation he leaves behind and wish him nothing but happiness and success in the next chapter of his life.

As we begin this transition, Assistant Chief Copley will serve as Interim Police Chief, continuing our department’s mission of service, professionalism, and dedication to the community.

Please join us in thanking Chief Hudgins for his years of service to Pineville and in welcoming Interim Police Chief Copley into this leadership role.

We have a long-awaited update for our residents!

First, we want to assure everyone there was NO structural damage to the building. At this time, we are waiting on insurance to approve the pricing to fix the existing damage. Once it is approved, building permits will be pulled, and we will be able to open the second floor (Town Hall) to the public! We will announce when Town Hall re-opens 🙂

However, the first floor of Town Hall that hosts the Library will be closed indefinitely. Once the Library re-opens, we will surely let you know!

Reminder that Town Hall is still CLOSED to the public. This means the Pineville Library, PCS, Planning & Zoning, and all other departments can only be reached via phone (numbers listed in the post).
