Tax Time is in full swing and your MilTax is Live!

The U.S. Department of War's free tax-filing service, MilTax, is now available to Service members and their families. Eligibility for MilTax extends to Service members, their immediate family members, survivors, and veterans within 365 days of their retirement or separation.

For the first time, the program is now extended to include Coast Guardsmen and their immediate families! The Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) is used to verify eligibility.

MilTax is designed to handle the unique tax situations of military personnel, such as deployments and multi-state filings. The service is provided by Military OneSource (militaryonesource.mil) and includes free e-filing software for a federal return and up to five state returns, along with personalized support from tax professionals trained in military-specific scenarios.
