Looking for an opportunity for youth to try new projects? Join us for our 4-H Fair Project Workshop on June 25th, from 11:00-4:00pm at our office!

Participants will choose from available projects in the 2026 Kentucky 4-H State Fair Catalog and create their project during the workshop. Completed projects will be submitted for judging, with the opportunity to advance to competition at the Kentucky State Fair. For ages 9-18.

This workshop is free, and all materials will be provided.

The Bell County Cooperative Extension Service in partnership with The Dairy Alliance welcomed families to Dairy Discovery Day for a morning full of learning, fun, and all things dairy!

Participants had the opportunity to:
-meet Bonnie the jersey cow
-taste and shake homemade butter
-take a virtual dairy farm tour
-play games and activities
-“milk” Maisie
-vote for their favorite milk flavor
-create yogurt parfaits
-learn more about where their dairy products come from

Thank you to Matti Coffey with the Dairy Alliance for teaching and providing resources about the world of dairy, and David Gibbons for sharing sweet Bonnie with the kids! We also want to thank Payton Elliott for face painting, and Stacey Collins, Homemaker Volunteer Deloris Cornelius, and Charlotte Hatfield with Soil Conservation for assisting in helping with the day’s activities.

The Bell County Cooperative Extension Office and Bell-Whitley CAA, Inc. are partnering to host their annual community health and resource fair on Friday, June 12th from 10:00 am to 2 :00 pm. Location for this event will be at the Bell County Extension Office, address is 10524 US Highway 25 E, Pineville, KY.

If any community partner would like to participate in the health/resource fair by setting up an informational booth, contact Sandy Hoskins at [email protected] or Rebecca Miller at [email protected] by May 29th. Tables will be provided.
