Career Options: Over 100 Military Occupational Specialties (MOSs) — from combat arms to aviation, engineering, cyber, logistics, and medical. For Col. Lloyd, the two go hand in hand.

Working in the emergency room taught her to stay calm in the middle of organized chaos. Serving in the Louisiana Army National Guard reinforced resilience, decisive leadership, and the importance of taking care of others under pressure.

Together, those experiences have made her a stronger leader both in uniform and in the hospital.

For PVT Javerion Johnson, a graduate of Lake Charles College Prep, that next step was joining the Louisiana Army National Guard as an 88M Motor Transport Operator.

A track athlete who was looking for new opportunities, Javerion joined for the benefits and because it sounded like an exciting challenge. Now he's building skills, gaining experience, and setting himself up for what's next.

His advice for anyone who's unsure about life after high school?
"This is good for you, especially if you have no plans after high school."

PFC Tejeda will complete her final year at Loyola University before heading to Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training after graduation. In the meantime, she’ll begin drilling, earning pay, and preparing for the next chapter of her journey.
