Thanks to Rural Up for providing our local youth with so many cool opportunities to gain experience while supporting our Main Street businesses!

Gem City Cakes is excited to introduce our summer workers, Lorna Howard and Emmie Dishman in partnership with Rural up

Lorna just graduated from PHS this year. Her favorite things include spending time with her friends and doing crafts. She will be attending the university of Kentucky this fall to become a psychologist.
When asked what her favorite item at the bakery is she said “banana bread”

Emmie also just graduated from PHS. She will be attending the university of Kentucky this fall for strategic communications. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, taking pictures and editing videos.

Our intern Savannah captured these photos of stores beginning to decorate for the Bell County Chamber of Commerce's America 250 window decorating contest and it's starting to look very red, white, and blue downtown!
