🔥 Structure Fire Response – S. Penrod Lane 🔥
This morning at approximately 6:20 a.m., Pinetop Fire District crews were dispatched to the 1900 block of S. Penrod Lane for a reported structure fire.
Upon arrival, crews found light smoke throughout the building and immediately began investigating. Firefighters quickly located the source in a restroom, where an electrical exhaust fan had been arcing. The electrical issue caused surrounding insulation to burn and resulted in significant charring in the attic area.
Crews were able to remove the faulty exhaust fan and burned insulation, preventing the incident from developing into a larger structure fire.
Responding units included Battalion 11, Engine 11, Rescue 12, Engine 13, Rescue 13, Truck 14, Engine 15, Battalion 15, Prevention 11, and Fire 10.
We would like to thank our partners at Timber Mesa Fire and Medical District, Pinetop-Lakeside Police Department, Navopache Electric Cooperative, and UniSource Energy Services for their assistance this morning.
Incidents like this require a coordinated response and a significant number of resources. We are grateful for the strong partnerships throughout our region and the continued teamwork that helps us protect our communities.
