📚💙 **A Heartfelt Thank You to Jennifer Brackney & Goodwill Industries Suncoast!** 💙📚

The **Kiwanis Club of Pinellas Park** extends our sincere thanks to **Jennifer Brackney and Goodwill Industries-Suncoast for an outstanding presentation at today's meeting.

Jennifer shared the many ways Goodwill is changing lives through workforce development, career services, and community partnerships. We were especially inspired to learn more about the **BookWorks Program**, which helps place books into the hands of children, fostering literacy and a lifelong love of reading.

We are grateful for organizations like Goodwill that invest in our community and for leaders like Jennifer who are passionate about creating opportunities for others to succeed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your mission with our club and for all you do to make a difference in the lives of children and families throughout our community.

Did you know the **Kiwanis Club of Pinellas Park** partners with **Goodwill Industries Suncoast's BookWorks Program** to help distribute free books to children throughout our community? Every book shared helps build literacy, inspire imagination, and create brighter futures for our youngest readers.

Want to learn how your organization, school, neighborhood, or family can access these wonderful books for children?

**Join us this Thursday, June 11, at 12:00 PM** for our **Open Kiwanis Meeting** at **Quaker Steak & L**e**, where our guest speaker, **Jennifer Brackney, Director of Career Development for Goodwill Industries Suncoast**, will share more about the incredible programs Goodwill offers—including **BookWorks** and how it is making a difference in the lives of local children.

Kiwanis Club of Pinellas Park – 2026 Scholarship Winner
On Thursday, May 28, The Kiwanis Club of Pinellas Park welcomed our 2026 Scholarship Winner, Tucker Henry. Introducing Tucker was Scholarship committee chair Sydney Legakis.

Some highlights about Tucker:
• Graduated from St Petersburg High School
• 10th grade Digital Information Technology school award
• Theatre Honor Society (Thespians)
• National Honor Society (NHS)
• Music Honor Society (Tri-M)

Other Activities:
• 3 years cross country
• 2 years track
• Key club 4 years - Vice president, president, Lt Governor Division 13
• Future Business leaders of America - state finalist 2 times
• Theater crew/usher chairman - 3 years

From his essay we learn “Service has shaped my character, my leadership style, and my goals. It has taught me that real commitment comes from consistency, humility, and the willingness to take on work that makes life better for other people. I vow to continue serving whatever communities I may be a part of long after high school because these experiences have shown me how powerful community action can be”. He will be attending Hamilton College in New York. Hopes to pursue a career in science

Tucker is a very impressive young man, dedicated to service. He mentioned “The Mad Hatter Event” hosted by Sunshine City as his favorite service project. Good luck Tucker as you move on to the next chapter in your story.

Today we proudly presented a check to the City of Pinellas Park Drowning Prevention Team in support of their life-saving drowning prevention efforts in our community.

The Kiwanis Club of Pinellas Park is honored to partner with a team so dedicated to protecting children and educating families about drowning prevention. Together, we are helping create safer summers, stronger awareness, and hopefully saving lives right here in our community.

A heartfelt thank you to the City of Pinellas Park, their staff, volunteers, and everyone who continues to champion drowning prevention and water safety education. 💙🏊‍♀️
