Reminder we will start fire hydrant flushing & testing tomorrow June 1st. We will be starting in Zone A and will be there for at least a few days this week. As we move zones we will post more so that everyone is aware.

John A. McKiver Sr., the beloved and well respected Fire Chief for the Town of Pinebluff passed away on May 29th, 2021.

Chief McKiver’s legacy still lives on with his family, emergency services personnel he helped shape and the public he interacted with during his many years of service. Chief McKiver retired from Southern Pines Fire & Rescue as the Deputy Fire Chief and then transitioned to be the Fire Chief for the Town of Pinebluff, North Carolina for 12 years until his unfortunate passing.

Last night personnel from several agencies in Moore County met at the Sandhills Community College Larry R. Caddell Public Safety Training Center for Countywide Training. The main objectives of this training were VEIS (Vent, Enter, Isolate, Search) and use of Thermal Imaging Camera’s.
