Greetings RedHawks,
As we near the end of our 5th week of school, I wanted to give you all some important information about what is happening around here at Mountain Empire High School.
-Friday, September 11th, the teachers will be producing progress reports for all of our classes/students. These reports will be available via your Parent Portal access in AERIES. If you have any questions about your student’s grades or progress, please reach out directly to that particular teacher, which can be done via AERIES, email, or phone. MEHS staff directory
-Friday, September 11th, is our annual Football Game Honoring First Responders in RedHawk Stadium, where our RedHawks take on Crawford, at 7:00pm.
-Friday, September 18th, is our annual Homecoming football game in RedHawk Stadium, where our RedHawks take on San Ysidro, at 7:00pm.
-Saturday, September 19th, is our annual Homecoming Dance, 7pm-10pm, which will take place in our gym here at MEHS. (tickets can be purchased in the finance office)

We loved seeing our families, students, and staff come together to kick off a wonderful school year.Thank you for taking the time to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and learn about the exciting opportunities ahead. We are looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and achievement.

🎉 Congratulations to our very own Zamyra for being crowned Little Miss Kumeyaay 2026-2027! 🎉
All of us at Mountain Empire Unified School District are incredibly proud of this outstanding achievement. Zamyra has been given a wonderful cultural opportunity to represent and celebrate the rich traditions, values, and heritage of the Kumeyaay people.
We applaud her leadership, pride in her culture, and dedication to serving as an ambassador for the Kumeyaay Tribes. We know she will represent her community with grace and honor.
