Let’s Talk About Caring for Older Adults 🧓
Because everyone needs someone to talk to.
Loneliness is more common among older adults than many people realize. 43% of older adults report feeling lonely, and many experience it quietly without reaching out for support.
You can make a meaningful difference by choosing to show up, even briefly. Even short visits matter more than you think. A quick check‑in, a shared cup of coffee, or a few minutes of conversation can remind someone that they are valued and not alone.

Let’s Talk About Speaking Up 🗣️

Because everyone needs someone to talk to.

More than half of the people who witness bullying stay silent. 55% of bystanders do not intervene or report what they see, allowing harmful behavior to continue unchecked.

You can help change that by choosing to stand up instead of standing by. Speak up when something feels wrong, check in with the person being targeted, or reach out to a trusted adult. Even small actions can interrupt bullying and show someone they are not alone.

This is video two in an eight‑part series created by Beyond Ready to Serve youth leaders from five Minnesota counties, ranging from eighth grade and up. As they explored the needs in their communities, they discovered a shared passion for mental health, bullying prevention, and supporting older adults. Their insights and experiences shaped every part of this project.

Let’s Talk About Bullying 💬

Because everyone needs someone to talk to.

Bullying affects far more young people than most people realize. 67% of teens do not tell anyone when they are struggling with bullying, which means many are facing these challenges alone.

You can make a difference by checking in on friends and family, offering a listening ear, and reminding them that support is available. Simple actions like sending a quick message, inviting someone to join you, or asking how they are doing can open the door to connection and comfort.
