Please slow it down and stay alert as you travel through the city. DeKalb County Water & Sewer contractors crews are continuing to clean and inspect our sewer lines.

Give the crews a little room, watch for equipment, and remember: Slow roads = safe crews + safe neighbors.

🪿 Goose Patrol Update! 🪿

Roy and Cody have been hard at work doing their part to help reduce goose "presents" at the beach.

🚨 Patrol Update: While on patrol, Cody was confronted by a gang of geese. 😄 Thankfully, everyone kept their cool, no feathers were ruffled, and the patrol continued without incident.

The good news is that our E. coli levels remain low, and Public Works has submitted this week's water sample to the lab. As always...

Weather Advisory for Pine Lake Residents & Visitors
The National Hurricane Center is monitoring Potential Tropical Cyclone #1, which is expected to bring periods of heavy rain to Georgia on Thursday and Friday.
While widespread flooding or severe weather is not currently anticipated, localized areas could experience heavy rainfall, flash flooding, damaging wind gusts, and isolated thunderstorms. Forecasts indicate that most of Georgia could receive 2–4 inches of rain, with some locations potentially receiving 4–6 inches or more.
Please take a few simple precautions:
✅ Stay weather aware and monitor local forecasts.
✅ Never drive through flooded roadways (Turn Around, Don’t Drown!!)
✅ Secure outdoor items that could be affected by gusty winds.
✅ Use extra caution when traveling during periods of heavy rain.
✅ Be prepared for changing weather conditions and possible localized flooding.
The City of Pine Lake will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as necessary. We encourage everyone to remain informed through trusted weather sources and to exercise caution throughout the week.

🚨 Traffic Alert – Regional Impacts Expected 🚨

FULL WEEKEND-LONG INTERSTATE CLOSURE

All lanes of Interstate 285 (Northbound & Southbound) on the west side of Atlanta will be CLOSED this weekend. Significant traffic congestion and region-wide travel delays are expected throughout the metro area.

Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, consider alternate routes, and avoid the area if possible.

⚠️ Expect impacts to surrounding interstates, state routes, and local roadways well beyond the immediate closure area.

Please read official traffic advisories for additional details and closure times before traveling.
