We are excited to see classes and community groups continuing to enjoy the Nature Play Trail and Outdoor Classroom! To help us maintain this special space and ensure it remains safe, welcoming, and enjoyable for all visitors, we are asking that all teachers and group leaders complete the Nature Play Trail Class & Group Visit Form before bringing a group to the trail.
Whenever possible, please submit requests at least one week in advance. This process helps us maintain accountability for this unique space that a small group of dedicated high school student volunteers has worked incredibly hard to create, improve, and maintain.
We also strongly encourage teachers and group leaders to visit the trail ahead of time before bringing students or groups. Previewing the space allows you to plan your visit, think through supervision needs, identify activities or stations you would like to use, and ensure adequate cleanup expectations are communicated to participants.
Our goal is to keep the Nature Play Trail a welcoming environment where children and visitors can safely connect with nature while respecting the hard work and care that has gone into creating this community treasure.
If you have any questions, please contact Megan Schimek.
Thank you for helping us care for and preserve this special place!
