Stanley Deming Park Closed During Summer Camp Hours:

Due to the Village of Warwick Summer Camp, Stanley-Deming Park
will be closed to the public Monday – Friday from 8:45 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. from June 27, 2022 – July 29, 2022, except on Monday, July 4th.

The pictures below are of some of the great titles that can be found at Pine Island Park’s Little Free Library. This library could use some chapter books for our older elementary school and middle school students. If anyone has books to donate, please feel free to place them inside this library or the one at Stanley Deming. 📚

We are saddened to report that legendary illustrator Jerry Pinckney has passed away. He was a giant in the world of children’s publishing. Mr. Pinckney will live on through the magnificent illustrations he created in children’s literature. 💜 📚

The Caldecott Medal winner died of a heart attack on Wednesday. He was known for illustrating over 100 books for readers of all ages, including The Lion and the Mouse and Their Eyes Were Watching God.

We are so saddened to hear that Robert Munsch, author of Love You Forever as well as many other books, has dementia. One of our stewards had the opportunity many years ago to hear Robert Munsch read this beloved book for children and adults in person at a teacher’s conference. Sending love and peace to Robert Munsch and his family at this time. ❤️ 🤗
