Prescription Drug Take Back, April 25th, 2026 from 10-2. Southport Volunteer Fire Department.
The Chemung County Sheriffโs Office will take part in the Drug Enforcement Administrationโs (DEA) Nationwide prescription Drug โTake Backโ Initiative on ๐๐๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐๐ฒ, ๐๐ฉ๐ซ๐ข๐ฅ ๐๐, ๐๐๐๐, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐ฆ ๐๐:๐๐ ๐.๐ฆ. ๐ญ๐จ ๐:๐๐ ๐ฉ.๐ฆ.
Chemung County residents are being encouraged to turn in their expired and unused prescription medications for proper disposal. Residents are asked to keep the medications in their original containers with the label intact; however, they may blacken out their name if they wish. All medications, ointments, and sprays are accepted. We will be accepting sharps at this event. Residents can drop off their medications at the following locations with no questions asked:
