Mayor Chad Major

Mayor Chad Major With deep gratitude and a clear vision, I’m honored to serve as your Mayor. Together, we’ll protect our values, and plan for a thriving future.

I’m committed to preserving what makes Pilot Point special while leading us toward meaningful progress. My wife and I retired in Pilot Point primarily due to the small-town charm, and its proximity to the country, lake, and horses. We were struck by the rich history and foundation of the strong values for which Pilot Point is known. I hope to preserve that history, particularly in the historic dow

ntown area. I believe that our people have so much more to add to the story of Pilot Point and it is the people that are the best part of this town! There is a strong community feel here that is immediately evident and the preservation of it is vital to the future. The people that we have already known, or since met, many of whom have provided friendship, fun and history to this unique town are the glue. I would like to believe that Pilot Point would say it wants to “stay unique”, even with the growth that is coming.

Thankful to be a part of educational discussion about development from city and county perspectives.

Representatives of Denton County, the city of Pilot Point and state Rep. Jared Patterson's office spoke to a small group on Monday evening about the transportation and development factors in the Ranch Cities area.

The presentation included details about what limitations and capabilities exist on each level related to controlling growth and acquiring funding for infrastructure.

'I just want everybody to understand what the authority we—the city, the county, the state—have when it comes to development,' County Commissioner Ryan Williams said.
