🦋 Pikeville Will Always Love You 🦋

Our hearts are heavy as we join the world in mourning the loss of the incomparable Dolly Parton. Her warmth, boundless generosity, and unmatched talent touched lives across East Tennessee, Eastern Kentucky, and far beyond.

Here in downtown Pikeville, we are inviting our community to gather, reflect, and pay their respects. Located on Division Street in front of the Judicial Center, our iconic teal butterfly chairs offer a special space for remembrance. Inspired by the butterflies found throughout Dolly’s beloved mountain properties in Tennessee, these sculptures serve as a lasting symbol of hope, transformation, and the creative spirit that lives within each of us.

Whether you stop by to sit for a quiet moment, leave flowers, or reflect on the joy her music and philanthropy brought to Appalachia, all are welcome.

🎉 GREAT NEWS! THE TRAILS ARE OPEN! 🌲🥾

We’re excited to announce that all trails at Bob Amos Park are officially back OPEN! 🎉

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who jumped in and worked hard and fast to clear the trails following the recent storm damage. We truly appreciate the teamwork, dedication, and community spirit that made it possible to get the trails back open so quickly.

Your hard work made all the difference!

The Peach Orchard Trail, Blue Chip Trail, Real McCoy Trail, and Story Book Trail are ready for you to enjoy once again.

🚨 TRAIL CLOSURE NOTICE – BOB AMOS PARK 🚨

Due to recent storm damage and ongoing debris removal, all trails at Bob Amos Park in the City of Pikeville are CLOSED until further notice.

This closure includes:
🌲 Peach Orchard Trail
🌲 Blue Chip Trail
🌲 Real McCoy Trail
🌲 Story Book Trail

For everyone’s safety, please stay off the trails while crews work to remove debris and address storm-related hazards.

We will keep the public updated and let you know when the trails are safe to use again.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding, patience, and cooperation as we work to safely restore these trails. ❤️💙
