THE REDSTREAK STANDARD: CHARACTER IN ACTION!

We're back with another round of Redstreak Standard Positive Referrals and this time we're celebrating 15 students who have demonstrated what it means to be a Redstreak.

What makes this group special is the variety of ways these students have earned their recognition. Some demonstrated outstanding academic achievement by earning top honors in their classrooms through hard work and dedication. Others showed personal responsibility and school pride by taking the initiative to care for our building and shared spaces without being asked. Still others went above and beyond to help their classmates, volunteer their time and contribute to a positive school environment.

Different actions. Different circumstances. One common thread: CHARACTER.

The Redstreak Standard isn't simply a list of expectations posted on a wall. It's something we want our students to demonstrate through their everyday decisions, whether someone is watching or not. We're proud of these 15 students and we're equally grateful to the staff members who took the time to recognize their efforts. Take a moment to look through their individual recognition graphics and see the positive impact these students are making at Piketon High School. Great schools are built through everyday acts of character, responsibility, and pride. These students are helping lead the way.

Onward Piketon!

A Glimpse Into the Future

This week a group of our Redstreak seniors had the opportunity to visit Ohio University and get a firsthand look at college life.

College visits like these are an important part of helping our students explore their options, envision their futures and prepare for life beyond Piketon High School.

A special thank you to our guidance counselors, Mrs. Fout and Mrs. Cisco, for organizing this opportunity and taking the time to help our students discover what’s possible beyond graduation.

And perhaps the best part of the trip? Running into some fellow Piketon alumni on campus who joined our seniors for a picture! It’s always great to see our Redstreak family represented beyond the halls of PHS.

Once a Redstreak, always a Redstreak!
