IT'S HAPPENING! EVERYBODY STAY CALM! 🦖🦕

Today is the first day of the Summer Reading Challenge at Pike Road Branch Library. That means its time to get reading and keeping up with those reading logs!

We also have a lot of fun programs scheduled this summer. Just take a peek at our June Summer Reading Program Calendar! Registration for each event will go up on our Facebook 1 WEEK PRIOR to each scheduled event.

Summer is here and we are ready for SUMMER READING 2026 at Pike Road Branch Library! 🦖

Storybook Time this month kicks off on Tuesday, June 2nd at 10:30 am. Apart from June 10th, Toddler Time will have our regularly scheduled songs & story starting Wednesday, June 3rd at 10 am!

Summer Reading Challenge starts TODAY, June 1st and runs through July 17th! Follow the link below to register and come by the library to pick up your reading logs!

.🦕UNEARTH A STORY: SUMMER READING 2026🦕

The time is nearly here folks — school is almost out and summer is quickly approaching! That means we're ready for Summer Reading 2026 here at the library!

Below you will find the rules to Pike Road Branch Library's 2026 Summer Reading Challenge. The challenge begins on Monday, June 1st and reading logs are due by 6 p.m. on Friday, July 17th. The top reader in each category will receive a Books-A-Million gift card & every reader who turns in a reading log by the deadline will be entered into a drawing for a Books-A-Million gift card.

Reading logs can be picked up in-person at the Pike Road Branch Library.

***Please note that a child should only sign up for ONE reading challenge at ONE MCCPL location. Reading challenge rules and prizes vary for each library location.
