Clay County Democrats have had a busy month!

On 16th, we held our County Convention, where we adopted new bylaws, selected delegates to the upcoming State Convention, held state committee elections, and named our new mascot, Clay, made by our Secretary Ann.

Friday the 24th, Clay County Democrats had a table at the Fisher Shackleford Dinner, honoring Arkansas women, and keynoted by former Vice-President Kamala Harris.

As the GOP chaos in the race for Secretary of State continues even after the runoff has concluded, here’s saying what we’re all thinking 👏👏👏

“Arkansas doesn’t need more drama in this office. We don’t need someone chasing headlines or answering to big money or political parties. We need someone focused on the work—someone who sees this role for what it is: a service position entrusted with something sacred—the voice of the people.

And that voice belongs to all of us. Republican. Democrat. Independent. Rural. Urban.

This office should be one of the places in our government where division takes a back seat to duty—where the goal is not to win arguments, but to ensure the process works for everyone.

Arkansans are independent thinkers. We don’t need to be told what to believe by political ads or outside voices. We expect our leaders to show up, do their job, and treat this responsibility with the seriousness it deserves.
That’s the standard.

And it’s time we expect it again.”
