Post Traumatic Stress Injury (PTSI) is a mental health condition that can develop after someone experiences a traumatic event. PTSI may show up in ways such as negative thoughts/feelings, nightmares, flashbacks of the event, feeling jittery or on edge, and avoiding reminders of the event.

With the right support, PTSI doesn't have to define everyday life. Find help at SDBehavioralHealth.gov.

You can find Veteran-specific support at https://www.sdsuicideprevention.org/.../populations/veterans or call 988 and press 1.

Nobody plans for an overdose. But everybody can be prepared.

Having naloxone on hand can make a critical, life-saving difference if an overdose happens. It’s safe, simple to use and available at pharmacies across South Dakota.

Have it on hand, know how to use it and help spread the word.
