Rebecca started her K-12 Teacher Apprenticeship in the Fall of 2024 and credits the collaborative support of her mentors and advisors for her success:

"The Registered Apprenticeship Program at USD was a great opportunity, which I was – and continue to be – incredibly grateful for. A huge thank you to my advisors and instructors, who provided guidance and shared their knowledge, to the Sioux Falls School District (SFSD), which provided practical experience and mentoring, as well as the Department of Labor, which made it possible for me to complete my Master's degree without having to worry about its financial implications.

The program allowed me, as someone whose bachelor’s degree was not in education, to continue working full-time in my role in the SFSD while completing my coursework online, all while receiving mentoring through both USD as well as the SFSD, learning more about myself as an educator, and rapidly growing my teaching toolkit.”

Scammers are sending text messages falsely claiming the Cosmetology Commission (called the Board of Cosmetology in the message shown below) is offering new private health insurance options. The Commission will not send text messages offering insurance or soliciting personal details.
