Piermont Fire Explorers Post 13

We would like to thank the community for donating to the Piermont Fire Explorers Post 13 this morning during our Helmet Drive. The money raised will allow the kids to go on educational field trips, buy uniforms, equipment and club shirts.

Over the next few weeks we will be holding 2 other fundraising events. So please look for the events posted to our page!

This morning members of the Piermont Fire Explorers Post. 13 conducted Truck Company Ops at the Tappan Fire Departments acquired training building.

The young boys and girls went over VES (vent, enter, search) off the ladder into the second floor window, followed by an interior search in a smoke filled environment on the first floor.

Thank you to the Tappan Fire Department for allowing us to use their facility.

This morning the Explorers went over Truck Company Ops at the Village Training Facility. The group went over Forcible Entry, Vent, Enter, Search and ladders.

Today the Piermont Fire Explorers conducted a training exercise at an abandoned building owned by the Tappan Fire Department. Members of the group conducted Search and Rescue operations within a smoke filled environment and had to make their way through a maze to locate 2 victims.

All the kids did a great job today.

Thank you to the Tappan Fire Department for allowing us to use their facility and the TWK Market for donating pizza for the kids.

This morning some members of our explorers post went over SCBA maintenance as well as some Mask confidence as part of their first drill of 2023. Over the course of 3 hours they did stair climbs, hills and breathing control techniques.

Recruitment / family day. If you have kids ages 12-15 and they are interested in learning the skills of fire fighting bring them down so they can experience it first hand. This Saturday June 18th.

This Saturday June 18th, 2022 the Piermont Fire Explorers Post 13 will be holding there first family day since 2018.

This weekend the kids will demonstrate their knowledge on Firefighting and Rescue operations at our training facility at TZE off of Rt. 9w in Piermont starting at 10:30am.

A family Barbecue is to follow at the Goswick Pavilion located at 200 Ferry Rd.

Members and family come on out and show your support for these amazing kids!

Attention: All explorers, please bring your bathing suits, towels and a change of cloths.
