Please Slow Down 🚸🐾

Our neighborhood is home to children at play, neighbors walking, and pets on leashes. Speeding vehicles put everyone at risk.

We kindly ask all drivers to slow down and stay alert while traveling through our community. Safety starts with each of us.

We've had several people ask us about the proposed Data Center project being discussed for the farm land boarding Violet Meadows. The Board has not received any information on the project and therefore does not have any official position to take currently.

If anyone does have any information, please email the HOA President at [email protected] directly.

♻️ Trash Pickup Reminders for Violet Meadows

Hi neighbors! As we all work to keep our neighborhood clean and welcoming, please take a moment to review our trash and recycling guidelines:

🗑️ Pickup Day:

Trash & recycling pickup is every Friday in Pickerington (unless delayed by a holiday).

🚮 Set‑Out Time:

Please place your bins at the curb NO EARLIER than 6:00 PM the night before pickup.
Bins should be curbside by 7:00 AM on pickup day.

📦 Container Rules:

Ensure all bags are tied securely and placed inside the bin.
Keep lids fully closed to prevent blowing debris and wildlife issues.

♻️ Recycling Tips:

Only clean, dry recyclables.
No plastic bags, food waste, or clothing.

🏡 After Pickup:

Please bring bins back to your home BY THE END OF THE DAY on Friday.
HOA mandates that they should be stored out of public view.

Let’s work together to keep our community looking great! 🌼

Last night, a group of individuals drove through the neighborhood in the middle of the night, checking cars parked on the streets and in driveways to see if they were unlocked. Unfortunately, we know of at least one vehicle that was stolen. This type of activity seems to occur at least once or twice a year. If a car is locked, they typically move on. Please make sure your vehicles are locked, keep valuables out of sight, and never leave your keys inside the car. 😡

LOST DOG ALERT! Let us know if you know who it belongs to!

A message from your friends at the Pickerington Police Department:

The Pickerington community beggars night will be held on Thursday, October 30th, from 6 PM – 8PM, rain or shine! There will be no rain date.

As always, the Pickerington Police Department will be out in force in the neighborhoods to help keep all of the little ones as safe as possible. We want this to be a happy and safe event! You can help us by observing the following safety tips!

MOTORISTS:
• If you are driving in any residential neighborhoods, condominium, or apartment complexes, please SLOW DOWN AND EXERCISE DUE CARE as there will be many little pedestrians out who may unexpectedly dart out into the street.
• ELIMINATE ALL DISTRACTIONS while you are driving in these areas.

SAFETY TIPS FOR PARENTS & TRICK OR TREATERS:
• Parents, take a picture of your kids in costume before they go out. If the child becomes lost, this picture can be used to assist law enforcement in locating the missing child as quickly as possible.
• Parents of young children may want to consider printing their name and cell phone number (in permanent ink) on their child’s hand or forearm. If the child is lost or separated from you, a law enforcement officer, or a responsible adult, can call you in order to reunite you with your lost child.
• A parent, or other responsible adult, should inspect all treats collected by a child prior to consumption. Look for any signs of tampering with wrappers. Please remember “when in doubt, THROW IT OUT!”
• Always carry your cell phone when going out.
• Notify law enforcement immediately if you observe any suspicious or unlawful activity. The non-emergency phone number for the Pickerington Police Department is (614) 575-6911. The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number is 1-(740)-652-7900. In case of an emergency, call 9-1-1 immediately.
• A parent or responsible adult should always accompany young children on their neighborhood rounds.
• Remain on well-lit streets and always use the sidewalk. If there is no sidewalk available, walk at the far edge of the roadway facing oncoming traffic.
• Young children should walk on direct routes and keep street crossings to a minimum.
• Teach your children to never dart out into the street.
• Cross the street at corners, using traffic signals and/or crosswalks.
• Never cross the street between parked cars or from driveways.
• Don't assume you have the right of way. Motorists may have trouble seeing trick-or-treaters. Just because one car stops, does not mean others will!
• Only go to homes that are lit up.
• NEVER enter a home or car for a treat.
• Have kids carry or wear glow sticks, flashlights, or reflective tape to help them be seen by motorists at dusk and after dark.
• If kids are mature enough to be out without supervision, they should stick to familiar areas that are well lit and trick-or-treat in groups. Agree on a specific time when they should return home by.

We hope you can do your part in helping us make this a safe and fun event!
