Violet Residents for Responsible Development represents the residents of Violet Township and the City of Pickerington in a vision for the future of our community that focuses on resident friendly and responsible development. Put control of development of the community in hands of the current residents and effectively shift the power away from big developers seeking to profit from our hard work and

investment in creating a community that is a desirable place for families to live.
2. Ensure locally elected officials are held accountable to residents they represent and stand firm against the influence of big developers.
3. Create a reasonable, responsible, and actionable development vision for the community that effectively balances desirable growth with a vision that ensures we maintain the look and feel of our community, the citizens understand the necessary tax burden development places on residents, and appropriately addresses environmental considerations.

As National Work Zone Awareness Week rolls on, we have some staggering statistics for you. Of the 4,435 crashes in Ohio work zones last year, 34 percent occurred with workers present. Sadly, 21 people were killed in 17 deadly work zone crashes. Another 96 work zone crashes resulted in serious injuries.

🚨 Friends, as promised, I’m proud to announce the 2 new critical pieces of legislation we unveiled today at the Statehouse:

The Ohio Power Reliability and Fairness Act ⚡️
Requires data centers to undergo a grid capacity review to ensure their projected energy demand will not threaten reliability or drive up electricity rates for consumers. Protects Ohio ratepayers from bearing the costs of large new data center loads.

Responsible Water Use in Data Centers Act 💦
Creates transparency around data center water usage, sets limits on excessive daily consumption, and requires companies to pay for necessary infrastructure upgrades. Protects Ohio waterways and local water systems from overuse.

While I support development and growth, my priority is ensuring we do it the right way: with reliability, affordability, and positive long-term community impact at the forefront.
