We are trying something new this year and using unwanted wool from a friend's farm.

Instead of letting it go to waste, we’re using raw wool in our garden beds as a natural w**d suppressant and moisture keeper. It acts like a breathable blanket for the soil—blocking w**ds, holding in water, and slowly adding nutrients back into the earth as it breaks down.

It’s a simple, sustainable solution that connects animals directly to our growing practices. Less watering, fewer w**ds, and healthier soil—without chemicals.

Farming this way takes a little creativity, but it feels right knowing nothing goes to waste.

Not all wool and the quality to make clothes out of. If you know any local farms with wool they can't use, we would love to be connected.

This garden will soon be overflowing with flowers. The boxes across the garden are full of herbs for guests to use as they cook. Smoke salt Co is available for guests to use and buy in the kitchen. The record player will spin nostalgic tunes as you connect and relax. As evening falls, the fireflies arise from the fields to create a stunning display of light over the fields. Stretch, laugh, and maybe get lightly climbed on.

Goat Yoga is back at Hidden Acres Legacy Farm this Sunday, May 31st at 3:00 PM, and yes… the goats are already preparing their best “downward goat” poses.
Join us for an afternoon of fresh air, gentle movement, and tiny hooves that have absolutely no respect for personal space. Whether you are a seasoned yogi or just here for the goat selfies (no judgment), this class is all about fun, relaxation, and a little bit of chaos.

What to expect:
A beginner-friendly yoga session in a beautiful farm setting
Friendly goats who think you are part of the equipment
Plenty of laughs and unforgettable moments
Optional goat snuggles are not optional , but rather expected before, during, and after class

Bring your mat, your sense of humor, and maybe wear something you do not mind getting a little “farm chic.”
Spots fill up fast, so grab yours before the goats do.

The flower beds are full of w**ds and we are SO far behind in planting, but that is how nature goes. The seasons keep pushing forward, with or without you. All the while, beauty is still being created. You might have to sort through the w**ds, but beauty is there if you look.

Rainy days make for oh so much MUD and standing water, but, that makes for all the more puddles to jump in and frogs to hear at night. We rescued a snapping turtle from the wrong side of the fence and put it back in the pond, all while enjoying the beauty the rain brings. We hope you enjoyed your day.

Our son found a snapper this morning laying eggs by our pond. What an amazing experience. You may not know that much of our land is under conservation. What we have noticed, is having our livestock guardian dogs around the pond has decreased the natural predator pressure on these nests. Historically, we have found many dug up. However, with the dogs, skunks and racoons are less prone to get close enough to the pond's edge to eat the eggs. Thus leading to a healthier turtle population in the pond, both snappers and painted turtles.
