Blue Knights MS IX, Picayune, Mississippi Blue Knights International L.E.M.C. Mississippi Chapter IX is about promoting motorcycle safety and conducting fundraisers for different organizations.

The Blue Knights® International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club was founded in the Spring of 1974 by Joel Rudom, Bill Robinson, Doug Miner, Ed Gallant, Mike Hall, Chuck Gesner, Wayne Labree, Chuck Shuman from the Bangor, Maine (USA) area.

*** Working with Charities ***
Many Blue Knights® work long and hard to raise money for various charities. Locally, our fund raising benefits Fallen Police Officers Law Enforcement Memorial and other charities in our local community. Internationally, we raise money for various charities. Especially near to our hearts is helping children. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Make-a-Wish Foundation, Toys for Tots, D.A.R.E., and Concerns of Police Survivors are some examples of our favorites. As of February 2010, Blue Knights have donated to numerous charities and have contributed time, monetary, and gift donations in the amount exceeding $13,037,303 (USD). As of December 2009, we have 635 chapters and 20,490 members in 29 countries, making us the largest motorcycle club in the world.

It is difficult stating what makes the Blue Knights® so special. Perhaps the following will help explain the kinds of feelings that flow when a bunch of motorcycle-riding police officers get together. Knighthood is:
•Enjoying the company of different people who share not only the common bond of a career in law enforcement, but also a love of motorcycles.
•Being able to visit your friends in any of our member countries and be treated like family.
•Receiving get-well cards from people you've never met. (There are no strangers in the Blue Knights® , only friends you haven't met.)

🚨 PRESS RELEASE | $25,000 REWARD OFFERED 🚨

The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance regarding the shooting death of a Claiborne County Deputy.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information related to this case.

We are asking anyone who may have information—regardless of how small or insignificant it may seem—to please come forward. Someone knows something. Information from the public could be the missing piece needed to help bring answers and justice to the deputy’s family, fellow law enforcement officers, and our entire community.

We also ask our community to continue keeping the deputy’s family, friends, and law enforcement family in your prayers.

If you have information, please contact the FBI or the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Office.

During last night’s City Council meeting (9/1), Police Chief James Bolton announced Rhonda Poche Johnson as the new Assistant Chief of Police for the Picayune Police Department.

Assistant Chief Johnson was the unanimous choice of the interview panel, bringing years of dedicated service, experience, and leadership to the department.

"I have complete confidence in Assistant Chief Johnson. She has earned the respect of both our department and the community she serves every day," said Chief James Bolton.

The City of Picayune recognizes this as an A+ selection for both the police department and our community. Please join us in congratulating Assistant Chief Rhonda Poche Johnson as she steps into this new leadership role!

BLUE KNIGHTS POSTHUMOUS AWARDS CEREMONY FOR ANDRETTA ENGLISH WEDNESDAY AUG 12

Blue Knights Picayune Chapter MS IX -Please come out to show your support for Andretta on Wednesday 10:00 AM at the Forrest County Multipurpose Building, Safe Room, 946 Sullivan Dr, Hattiesburg, MS. You can travel by car or bike. We will also have International/SRC members in town Tuesday thru Wednesday. It’s a great way to show support for the English family and FCSO as well as meeting and socializing with other members outside our chapter and state. Attending from out of town will be SRC Chairman Randy Hoagland, former International president DJ Alvarez, and many other supportive BK members from various chapters and out of state.

Everyone is invited to a friendly dinner at Mario’s Italian Restaurant (Tue night), 122 Carlisle St., Hattiesburg, MS. Andretta’s ceremony (Wed), lunch following for those who want to, and a final dinner (Wed) with our guests at the Road House (Country fried steak & Ribeye’s) in Petal, MS.

From Ben Ford, MS XI, Andretta & Daniel English’s Chapter: I spoke with Randy Hoagland and we discussed some things about the upcoming awards ceremony for Andretta, this coming Wednesday at the Forrest County Multipurpose Building, Safe Room.

The SRC board members will be coming in Tuesday night and want to meet up and fellowship over supper. Meeting at Mario’s Italian restaurant at 122 Carlisle Street in Hburg at 18:30. This restaurant is off of Westover Drive and right up from Outback Steak House. We're not planning on wearing vest to supper to keep them from being sweaty for the awards ceremony the next day. Just gonna wear a shirt with Blue Knights something on it. Significant others are always invited.

Dress for the ceremony is to be, long sleeve white shirts, black or dark blue jeans and chapter vest.
Ceremony will begin at 10:00.
Randy and the others are going to be in vehicles so they will meet us at the Forrest County Multipurpose Building, Safe Room.
Daniel English wants us to ride in together, so if anyone wants to meet up at the Dandy Dans dinner at 49/98 just south of FCSO at around 9:15 the morning of the ceremony and ride in together.
After the ceremony is over, FCSO will have refreshments but we plan on eating lunch somewhere with the SRC board, so please plan on that too, if you can.
Everyone that can come please do, to show support for our loved little sister. If you can’t ride, come in your vehicle.
If we could maybe get a head count on the supper Tuesday night it would be good to give a heads up to them.

James Alford, of Richland PD is coming to the Ceremony Wednesday, he was one of the Officers involved in the accident during the Fundraising Ride for Deputy Yates Rodney, that Andretta helped stabilize, that disastrous day.

The Biloxi Police Department would like to remind participants, spectators, and residents that Scrapin' the Coast 2026 will take place June 26–28, 2026, in Biloxi.

Motorists should expect increased traffic congestion and delays throughout the city during the event weekend, particularly along U.S. Highway 90 and surrounding areas. Drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly, allow extra travel time, and exercise patience while traveling through the city.

The Biloxi Police Department also reminds visitors and residents to comply with all traffic and parking regulations. Vehicles must be parked in designated parking areas and during authorized hours only. Vehicles found in violation of parking regulations may be subject to citation and towing.

Additionally, no pop-up events are authorized within the City of Biloxi during Scrapin' the Coast weekend. Unauthorized gatherings may result in enforcement action by law enforcement officials.

This year's event marks the second Scrapin' the Coast since the implementation of Mississippi's "Squatted Vehicle Law." Under Mississippi Code Section 63-7-105, a "squatted vehicle" is defined as a vehicle whose front fenders are raised four (4) or more inches higher than the rear fenders. Additionally, under 63-7-105, (a) the height of the fender shall be a vertical measurement from, and perpendicular to, the ground, through the centerline of the wheel, and to the bottom of the fender, (b) "fender" means the pressed and formed part mounted over the road wheels of a motor vehicle to reduce the splashing of mud, water or similar substances. Operators of vehicles found in violation of this statute will be cited.

The Biloxi Police Department appreciates the cooperation of all attendees, residents, and visitors in helping ensure a safe and enjoyable event for everyone.
