May in person collection hours will be Wednesdays from 10 am - 1 pm. The face period for 2026 County/Township Real Estate Taxes ends June 30th. School Real Estate Tax bills will be issued July 1.

Tomorrow, Thursday April 30th is the last day of the discount period for the 2026 County/Township Real Estate tax bill. This bill was mailed the last week of February. Payment must be postmarked by the USPS, made online, or remitted to the tax office by the end of day tomorrow to take advantage of the discount. I will be in the office from 10 am - 1 pm.

A few tips to ensure timely payment:

Payments made via your online banking will not arrive in time. These payments do not get postmarked so they must be accepted according to the date they are received. I have noted this on previous bill inserts. When using your bankโ€™s online bill pay you typically need at least 7-10 days.

If you are mailing payment, take it into the Post Office and have them โ€œhand stampโ€ it. If it is postmarked after 4/30 I cannot, by law, accept the discounted amount. Your payment will be returned.

If you pay online through my website remember there are 3 line items on your bill. All 3 line items must be added to your โ€œbasketโ€ online before making payment. Please make sure the total amount you are paying matches the amount on your bill. As noted on the website, partial payments are not permitted by law and will be returned. If your payment is returned tomorrow you will lose the discount.

Lastly, I do not ever verify the amount due or payments received via phone or email. The instructions for obtaining a receipt are printed on your bill.

The last 2 weeks of discount are the busiest time of the billing cycle. I accepted 142 payments at the office yesterday in 4 hours. Emails and phone calls may not be returned tomorrow. These bills were mailed 2 months ago and are ALWAYS issued BY March 1. Please make sure to have a payment plan that does not cost you the 2% discount.

The discount period for 2026 county/township real estate taxes ends Thursday, April 30th. This bill was mailed to you the last week of February and dated March 1.
This week is one of the busiest weeks of the year as it is when nearly 80% of the payments come in. The best way to reach me is by email: [email protected]. Please note, I do not EVER confirm payments received or amounts due via phone or email. The instructions for obtaining a receipt are printed on your bill. All of the information needed to make payment is included on your bill. If you need a copy of your bill, there is a duplicate bill fee. Payments being mailed must be postmarked by the USPS by 4/30. Payments left in a drop box or made in person must be RECEIVED by 4/30. In person collection hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week. These hours are printed on your bill and are on the website www.upperprovtaxcollector.com. Payments can also be made online through the website. Fees do apply as noted on your bill, 2.65% for credit cards and $1.50 for echecks. I do not accept credit card payments at the office. They must be made online.
