This fall, you may see a new piece of equipment traveling through your neighborhood and our parks. It is a blower attached to the back of a tractor and will provide a much safer and more efficient way for our crews to keep our roads and curb lines clear of leaves and debris.

One of our top priorities is protecting our stormwater system. In the past, our crews have spent days driving from storm drain to storm drain, stopping at each inlet to remove leaves and debris that could cause blockages and potentially lead to flooding on our roadways.

This new equipment will allow our road crew to clear leaves and debris more efficiently while reducing the amount of time they spend stopping and working along the roadway.
Most importantly, this safer method will help protect our township road crew while saving valuable time and resources.

Nighttime Resurfacing Continues on U.S. 422 9/28 through 10/2

PennDOT will continue nighttime resurfacing operations next week on U.S. 422 in Limerick and Upper Providence Townships as part of a $6.2 million improvement project covering 4.4 miles of roadway.

Schedule & Lane Restrictions:

• Eastbound U.S. 422:
Lane closure from Royersford Rd. to Troutman Rd.
Sept. 28–Oct. 2 | 7:00 PM–5:00 AM

• Westbound U.S. 422:
Lane closure from Troutman Rd. to Royersford Rd.
Sept. 28–Oct. 2 | 8:00 PM–6:00 AM

Drivers should expect delays and allow extra travel time.

All work is weather dependent.

The project includes milling and paving, new pavement markings, rumble strip installation, and base repairs as needed.

Our crew went to the annual 811 PA One Call safety day conference in Oaks today. They were able to interact with other public works crews and learn safety tips from presentations throughout the day.

This position performs a variety of unskilled or semi-skilled maintenance work.

Operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of Township roads, sewer, storm drainage facilities and systems as well as Township buildings, facilities, parks, & open space maintenance.

Nighttime milling and paving will continue next week (8/23 through 8/27) on U.S. 422 in Montgomery County as part of PennDOT’s $6.2 million resurfacing project.

Lane closures will be in place August 23–27 on both eastbound (7pm-5am) and westbound (8pm -6am) U.S. 422 between Royersford Road and Troutman Road in Limerick and Upper Providence Townships.

Expect overnight delays and plan extra travel time.
Work includes milling, new pavement, updated markings, rumble strips, and repairs, weather permitting.

C***r Mill Road will be closed to all traffic, including emergency service vehicles, 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘅𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 7am 𝘁𝗼 5pm 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝟯 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗱. The contractor intends to leave the road open to traffic overnight and on weekends.

The closure will take place in the vicinity of the Perkiomen Trail crossing between the Arcola Road bridge and Minuteman Drive and will affect the Perkiomen Trail crossing at C***r Mill Road (between Oaks and Collegeville on the trail).
