Phoenix’s semiconductor story is about more than a single investment. The City of Phoenix recently welcomed the Pax Silica delegation, in partnership with Global Ties Arizona, for a conversation about Phoenix’s economy, our growing semiconductor sector and the role public-private partnerships play in delivering major investments.

The discussion focused on the work that continues today. From infrastructure and workforce development to partnerships with schools and colleges, apprenticeships and dedicated City support.

Thank you to Global Ties Arizona and the Pax Silica delegation for the opportunity to exchange ideas, strengthen international connections and share how Phoenix approaches economic development on a global scale.

A major milestone for Phoenix’s growing bioscience ecosystem. 👏 The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases celebrated the opening of its new 35,000-square-foot Clinical Research Unit at the Phoenix Bioscience Core. The state-of-the-art facility will advance research into diabetes, obesity and metabolic diseases.

Councilman Kevin Robinson joined NIH, Tribal leaders and research partners to celebrate the opening and NIDDK’s more than 60-year history of groundbreaking research in Phoenix. We’re proud to see that legacy continue in the heart of our City.
