The Phoenix Zoo is home to seven different species of vultures ranging from the smallest to the largest! The Zoo is also very active in vulture conservation around the world, providing support and funding to the Peregrine Fund’s work to recover the critically endangered California condor in Arizona and Utah, and their work in Kenya to monitor and conserve African vultures, including Ruppell's griffon vultures.

Want a chance to see some of our vultures in action? On Monday, September 7, the Ruppell's griffon vultures will receive a carcass. The feed will start during member hour at 7:15 a.m. but will continue throughout the day, so make sure to stop by Predator Passage!

Spooky season is right around the corner, and Keebler is bringing a hauntingly good time with the Spookie Fudge Stripes Safari.

Starting September 1 through October 31, guests are invited to spot the Zoo’s striped animals and discover what makes them special. Our ranger team is responsible for overall guest safety and security throughout the Zoo! The team plays a large role during the ZooLights season, patrolling event areas, monitoring guest security barriers, reuniting lost guests and more.

What's better than a morning yoga session? How about a morning yoga session at the Zoo?!

Members are invited to feel the zen with a peaceful guided yoga session on the first Saturday of the month in front of the jaguars. Join us for the next one, September 5, 7 - 8 a.m. 🧘

The class is available for participants 10 and older and tickets and check-in is required. We kindly ask for you to bring your own yoga mat as well.
