Good morning, beloved community! As we gather today in the spirit of thankfulness during this week of Thanksgiving, let's take a moment to reflect on the profound significance of gratitude in our lives. In a world that often fosters discontent and comparison, Thanksgiving serves as a vital reminder to pause and acknowledge the blessings we have received.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 (NIV) - “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

We are called to rejoice always, not just during the joyous times but especially in the times of trial and tribulation. The Apostle Paul, who wrote these words, understood hardship more than most. He faced imprisonment, persecution, and yet still encouraged the Thessalonians to find joy.

This Thanksgiving, let’s commit to nurturing an attitude of joy within our hearts. It may require us to intentionally focus on God’s goodness, even when circumstances seem challenging.

Paul urges us to "pray continually." Prayer is a vital connection with our Creator, a lifeline that sustains our faith.

Consider your prayer life. Are you bringing your joys, worries, and needs to God? This week, set aside moments to pray intentionally for others, expressing gratitude not only for your own blessings but also for the people who enrich your life.

Giving thanks in all circumstances can seem daunting. It doesn’t mean we must be happy about everything that happens, but rather that we can find gratitude in the midst of our struggles.

Remember the story of Job, a man who lost everything yet remained faithful and ultimately learned valuable lessons about God’s presence and purpose.

Create a gratitude journal. Each day, jot down at least three things for which you are thankful. Let this practice shape your perspective, encouraging you to see the goodness of God even during tough times.

They are preparing to build the third Temple!!
The Bible says the first time God destroyed the earth by water and he promised to never do that again. (The real meaning of the Rainbow) he went on to say I will destroy it by fire the second time. I won’t even pretend I understand all of the book of Revelation, but I do understand quite plainly that I do wish to spend eternity in Heaven. I have been hearing about the second coming of Christ and the events unfolding since I was a child. The "Mark of the Beast" Artificial Intelligence, microchips, no cash/digital currency, total government dependency/control. When we are raising a family, working long hours, some two jobs, lots of things go unnoticed or just get ignored. No one can comprehend how bad it will be, but we see it happening, bit by bit, on the news everyday. While the devil is preparing people for the Anti Christ, God is preparing people for the Rapture. I don’t know when the rapture will take place but I know that I’m not planning to be left behind when that trumpet sounds! I also believe right now that God is giving us a chance to turn our lives around and live according to His will. We need to get the Gospel message out! Until the good Lord calls me away from this world to go home, I want to make it clear that I believe in Jesus Christ as the one and only true Lord and Savior. Despite the fact that I am human, and I fail a lot, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God. And His most Holy and blessed Mother Mary was a virgin. I believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and for our salvation.

"Well, shugahs, I reckon it's high time for me to get up in the pulpit and talk about one of the most important things in life: family. Now, I know some of y'all might be thinkin', "What's so special about family?" But let me tell you, from where I sit, family is the backbone of our great nation. It's what holds us together, like a big ol' plate of fried chicken on a Sunday dinner table.

"Now, I'm not just talkin' about biological families, neither. I'm talkin' about the ones we choose to surround ourselves with, the ones who become our kin. Your friends, your neighbors, your church family – they're all part of your tribe, your clan.

"Now, I know some folks might say that family is all about blood ties, but I reckon that's just plain ol' hogwash. Family is about love, loyalty, and support. It's about being there for one another through thick and thin, like a good biscuit and gravy at the church potluck.

"And don't even get me started on tradition! Family traditions are what make life worth livin', y'all. Think about it: your grandma's famous fried chicken recipe, your granddaddy's old truck, your cousin's bass fishin' trips – these are the things that make us who we are.

"Now, I know some of y'all might be thinkin', "But preacher, what about when family gets tough? What about when they drive you crazy?" Well, let me tell you somethin'. Family is like a big ol' garden – it takes work to keep it growin', but it's worth it in the end. You gotta w**d out the bad apples, water the good soil, and give it plenty of sunshine. And when you do, you'll be amazed at how beautiful it can be.

"Now, I'm not perfect myself, and I ain't gonna sit here and pretend like my family's always been perfect neither. We've had our share of struggles and disagreements over the years. But we've always found a way to work through 'em, to forgive and move forward. And that's what family is all about.

"So as we go on our way this week, remember that family is important. Cherish your kinfolk, y'all. Show 'em love and kindness. Be there for 'em when they need you. And always remember that no matter where life takes you, family is where you'll always find a sense of home.

"And if you're lucky enough to have a big ol' plate of fried chicken on your table this Sunday dinner, don't forget to share some with your neighbors! That's just good Southern hospitality, y'all!"
