A Big Step Forward for District 7! 🏠✨

Yesterday, we celebrated the opening of a new shelter and resource center in District 7, a major step forward in supporting those experiencing homelessness. This facility isn’t just a shelter—it’s a lifeline to stability, resources, and hope for our community.

Tackling homelessness requires compassion, collaboration, and action, and I’m proud to see Phoenix making real investments in solutions.

It was a privilege to host Andrés Chávez, grandson of César Chávez, in District 7 as he shared his grandfather’s powerful legacy with students from Tolleson Union High School District. Hearing him speak about justice, perseverance, and activism was a reminder of how César Chávez’s work continues to inspire new generations.

Last Friday’s Latinas Shaping the Future Breakfast was nothing short of amazing. Being in a room filled with strong, brilliant, and passionate women reminded me just how powerful we are when we come together.

To every woman who showed up, shared a conversation, and poured into this space—thank you. Your stories, energy, and presence made this event truly special.
