As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, we’re celebrating the accomplishments, growth, and memories made across the Balsz community. 💙📚

A huge congratulations to our 5th graders heading to Pat Tillman Middle School and our 8th graders taking the next big step into high school! 🎓✨ We are so proud of each and every one of you.

🎉 Celebrating Mrs. Deborah Hurlbert! 🎉

Last night, the Governing Board proudly recognized Mrs. Deborah Hurlbert for more than 30 years of dedicated service to the students and families of the Balsz District. 💙

Mrs. Hurlbert began her journey with the district in 1993 at Balsz Elementary School and later continued her career as a beloved Kindergarten teacher at David Crockett Elementary School after Balsz closed.

For generations of students, Mrs. Hurlbert has been a caring teacher, a positive role model, and a source of joy in the classroom. Her kindness, dedication, and love for teaching have left a lasting impact on countless children and families.

Last night, Mrs. Hurlbert celebrated this special milestone by ringing her retirement bell! 🔔✨

Last night, the Governing Board proudly recognized Ms. Paige Stumpf for her outstanding contributions as a Reading Interventionist at Griffith Elementary School. 💙📚

Ms. Stumpf began her journey in the district as a student teacher and has grown into a valued leader and literacy expert on campus. She is known for her deep knowledge of foundational reading instruction, her commitment to individualized student growth, and her strong collaboration with staff to support student success.
