After 25 years officiating track and field meets and 17 seasons with the Great Hearts Middle School League, Dean Hebert is retiring. His leadership, dedication, and care have left a lasting mark on our student athletes. Join us in thanking Dean for his incredible service and wishing him a wonderful retirement.

Celebrate the North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Class of 2026 as they graduate from Great Hearts.

A classical education asks students to do more than complete assignments or master information. It invites them to think carefully, speak clearly, reason well, and consider the enduring questions that have shaped human life across generations.

Through their years at North Phoenix Prep, these seniors have studied great books, mathematics, science, history, language, music, and the arts within a community ordered toward Truth, Goodness, and Beauty. 25 Great Hearts Arizona student athletes from the Class of 2026 are going on to play college sports. An amazing accomplishment, considering that only about 6% of high school athletes earn the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level.

We're looking back at the commencement ceremonies and senior walks captured across our academies as students marked the close of one chapter and the beginning of the next. From final walks through familiar halls to the moment seniors received their diplomas, these celebrations reflect years of hard work, friendship, perseverance, and formation through a classical education.

Celebrate Scottsdale Preparatory Academy’s Class of 2026 as they mark the completion of their Great Hearts education.

The classical liberal arts tradition is not simply concerned with what students know, but with the kind of people they are becoming. Through careful reading, reasoned discussion, mathematical study, scientific inquiry, and engagement with the arts, students are invited to develop habits of attention, judgment, and virtue.

Celebrate Veritas Preparatory Academy’s Class of 2026 as they complete their senior year at Great Hearts.

Veritas means truth, and a Great Hearts education is ordered toward the pursuit of truth through disciplined study, serious conversation, and the formation of character. These graduates have studied the great works of literature, philosophy, history, mathematics, science, language, music, and the arts as part of a curriculum designed to cultivate both the mind and the heart.

Great Hearts celebrated along with leaders and families of Apache Junction at the groundbreaking ceremony of the charter network’s 25th academy in Arizona, Great Hearts Blossom Rock. The new K-5 academy will open in the fall of 2027 in the master-planned community of Blossom Rock.

Celebrate the Young Hearts Preschool graduates as they complete preschool and prepare to begin kindergarten.

In these early years, children begin developing habits that support a lifetime of learning: attention, wonder, friendship, order, language, imagination, and care for the world around them. Young Hearts Preschool provides a foundation for growth through meaningful play, guided discovery, and the steady cultivation of readiness for the next stage of school.

As these students move on to kindergarten, we celebrate the beginning of their academic journey and the many lessons still ahead.
