Down 30-19 in the fourth quarter, the Arete Prep Chargers stormed back to take a 33-30 lead on Miami in what was a wild quarter of football. Miami drove the length of the field to go ahead 38-33 with just a minute to play. Senior QB Case Morris then led an action packed 1 minute offense, capped by this 56 yard touchdown throw, catch, and run to Junior Eamonn Connelly for the winning score, with just 9 seconds to go. Morris converted the 2 pt on a keeper, and intercepted Miami on the Hail Mary attempt to seal the win!

When Arizona families look at a Great Hearts transcript or report card, you may notice something new beside every 10th, 11th, and 12th grade course: a “CL” designation. Those two letters now identify the courses as College Level, reflecting the depth of the Great Hearts curriculum and complementing expanded college credit opportunities.

The Final Standing: The Week of August 24th

Week 1 is in the books, and Great Hearts Varsity Volleyball is off to a strong start!

9 of our 11 teams are currently undefeated, with Glendale Prep and Chandler Prep leading the way at 2–0.

North Phoenix Prep gets its season underway tonight, while the rest of our teams look to build on a great opening week.

Congratulations to all of our student-athletes on a strong start. We’re looking forward to an exciting season ahead!

Friday night brought another round of competition across Great Hearts Athletics, with student-athletes giving their best and representing their academies with pride, determination, and sportsmanship.

Two Great Hearts matchups highlighted the evening:

Chandler Prep 41 | Trivium Prep 6

Congratulations to Veritas Prep and Chandler Prep on their victories, and to Scottsdale Prep and Trivium Prep for competing hard and representing their academies well.
