We’d like to recognize Dawn Gorman, Paraprofessional at Madison Meadows Middle School for receiving the Shining Star Award!🌟

Dawn is currently in her second year with us, but she didn’t just appear out of thin air like a supernova. She actually joined us after retiring as a middle school teacher. She decided to bring her seasoned expertise back into the trenches as a one-to-one paraeducator. Because she’s a veteran of middle school mayhem, she has the unique ability to support her specific student with incredible skill, while simultaneously keeping an expert eye on the rest of the classroom.What makes Dawn a true Shining Star, however, is that her light doesn't just stay in one classroom; it radiates across the entire school. She is the ultimate team player, and we honestly aren't sure if she has figured out how to say the word "no" yet. Dawn, you have a rare gift for making hard jobs look easy and the most chaotic mornings feel manageable. We couldn't have asked for a brighter light to join our constellation.

✨ Exciting things are happening at Madison Rose Lane Elementary School!
We recently got a sneak peek inside the new campus construction… and wow!! 🤩 Art teacher Joanna Ewald couldn’t contain her excitement seeing the inside of her new art studio! We can’t wait to welcome our students, staff, and families into these beautiful new learning spaces in August!

Creativity and innovation were on full display at Madison Camelview Elementary’s annual STEAM Night! Students proudly shared hands-on projects ranging from Lego robotics and mini suns to detailed environmental dioramas and other interactive creations.🔬🤖

Through Madison’s STEAM program, students explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math in engaging ways that encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Events like STEAM Night give students the opportunity to showcase their creativity while building a strong foundation for future innovation. Take a look at some of their amazing projects!

We’d like to recognize Ashley Sarmiento, Library Associate at Madison Simis Elementary School for receiving the Shining Star Award!💫

Ashley Sarmiento possesses a rare, infectious enthusiasm for literacy that transforms the way students see the world. When she reads to a class, her face lights up. That energy is caught by the students, making even the most reluctant readers curious about what happens on the next page. Her impact goes far beyond checking books in and out. Ashley understands that for a child to love reading, they need to see that authors are real people with stories to tell. She worked to bring in guests like Mac Barnett, whose engaging and humorous presence turned a standard school day into a memorable event. Ashley also recognized that some students needed a dedicated space to celebrate their love of reading. This year she started a book club, giving kids a community where being a bookworm is something to be honored. In that circle, students learn to be inquirers and open minded thinkers. Ashley jumps in to save the day without hesitation wherever she is needed. As a parent in the district, she is one of the school’s strongest advocates. She balances her professional role with a personal investment in the community's success. Madison Simis is fortunate to have a librarian who works so hard to ensure every child feels seen, supported, and inspired to pick up a book.

🍓 Madison School District will be participating in the Summer Food Service program, which provides FREE meals to children 18 years or younger. Children do NOT have to be enrolled in any summer program or at Madison Elementary School District to participate. No application or paperwork is required. Community members wishing to participate should report to the school office and be directed to the cafeteria. All meals must be consumed on-site and during meal times. Service is first come, first serve.

🎨🔬✨ Madison Park Middle School’s annual STEAM Night was a huge success!
Families and students explored an evening filled with creativity, discovery, and hands-on learning as students proudly showcased projects ranging from robotics and science experiments to original artwork and imaginative cardboard creations and enjoyed performances from the Madison Park Band and STOMP led by Julie Thibodeaux. 🛠️🤖

The event highlighted the innovation, collaboration, and talent that make Madison Park Middle School such a special place to learn and grow. 🌟

Egg-citing times in the classroom! 🥚🐔 Kindergarten students at Madison Rose Lane recently finished their science unit learning about the life cycle of chickens. Students observed the incubation process of the chickens for three weeks, eagerly awaiting for them to hatch and eventually welcomed them into their classroom.
