Happy Labor Day from Simis PATS! Today we celebrate the hardworking humans in our community and honestly that describes every single Simis parent, teacher, and volunteer we know! ๐Ÿ™Œ You all show up every single day for our kids and we are so grateful for each and every one of you!

๐ŸŒฑ DIGGS is looking for volunteers!

Our amazing DIGGS team has been hard at work all summer designing an incredible year of garden fun and we could not be more excited for what is ahead! ๐ŸŒฟ This year they have put extra love into creating lessons that balance hands on gardening experiences, meaningful learning opportunities, and engaging activities that work for every single student in the classroom! ๐Ÿ’™

Here is what DIGGS is focusing on this year:
๐ŸŒฑ Thoughtfully designed lessons that bring meaningful hands on gardening experiences to all students๏ฟฝ๐Ÿ”ฌ Connecting grade level science and social studies concepts right in the garden๏ฟฝ๐ŸŒฟ Planting, planting, and more planting!

To make all of this happen, our DIGGS team is counting on our wonderful volunteers to lead hands on explorations and work in the garden while the DIGGS team is there every step of the way to support you! No gardening experience needed โ€” just a love for our kids and a willingness to get your hands a little dirty! ๐Ÿ˜„

Our Simis staff came back to school this year with their humor fully intact and Ms. Bohlman proved she is absolutely the principal we deserve by being the best sport about the whole thing! ๐Ÿ™Œ

Our amazing nurses Ellie and Jessie are looking for a few wonderful volunteers to assist with hearing and vision screenings here at Simis! It is a simple and meaningful way to give back and support the health and wellbeing of every student on campus! ๐Ÿ’™

No special experience needed โ€” just a willingness to show up and help our incredible nursing team do what they do best! Volunteer times are typically between 8-10am.
