Through the Tools for Teachers program, Buckeye City Council members had the opportunity to surprise local educators with classroom supply baskets to help support their classrooms. It’s one small way we can recognize the dedication our teachers show every day and thank them for making a lasting impact on Buckeye students.

Thank you to all of our educators for everything you do! 🍎

🎨 I recently had the opportunity to check out some of the incredible artwork popping up around Downtown Buckeye, including some murals and new traffic box art installations.

Public art helps tell the story of our community, celebrate local talent, and add character to the places we love.

🎉🌵 The City of Buckeye and Councilman Jamaine Berry from Buckeye City Council, District 2 were excited to celebrate the ribbon cutting for The Country Cactus, a unique new creative space helping bring hands-on learning to Buckeye.

What started as a home business has grown into a beautiful new space where kids, teens and adults can learn valuable life skills through sewing, baking, cooking, painting and other creative activities.

We love seeing local family businesses thrive, and Sunrise Market continues to grow into a destination filled with unique experiences, local entrepreneurs and gathering spaces for residents of all ages. Congratulations to The Country Cactus and welcome to Buckeye! 👏

⛳🎉 The City of Buckeye and Councilmember Jamaine Berry of Buckeye City Council, District 2 were excited to celebrate the grand opening of The Back Nine at Sunset Market, a fantastic new golf and entertainment destination for our community.

The Back Nine brings a fun, interactive and family-friendly experience to Buckeye, featuring the same golf technology used by the pros right here to our own backyard. It’s another exciting addition to the growing energy at Sunset Market and a great example of businesses creating experiences that bring people together.

We’re proud to see Buckeye’s local business community continue to grow and provide more opportunities for residents and visitors alike. Congratulations to The Back Nine, and welcome to Buckeye! 👏

Thank you to everyone who joined Councilmember Berry with the Brunch with Berry event at the wonderful Casa de Leyva’s in downtown Buckeye! We had a fantastic turnout and truly appreciate Casa de Leyva’s for providing such an excellent location and welcoming atmosphere for our community to gather.

A shout out to Public Works Director Amy Murray, Police Chief Sanders and City Manager Doug Sandstrom for attending and speaking to the crowd. Your insights, updates and dedication to answering questions directly from our residents are what make Buckeye such a great place to live and work.

Thank you again to our hosts, our city leadership and most importantly, the residents who took the time to connect with us. See you at the next one!

Our latest Word on the Street video is live! 🚗🌳
We’re talking about the Monroe Avenue Restriping Project and what it means for the heart of our city.

Based on your feedback, and a City Council approval, Monroe Avenue (from 1st to 9th Street) is getting a fresh new look designed to make downtown safer, more accessible and more vibrant.

We are moving to a three-lane configuration, which includes:
One lane in each direction
A continuous center left-turn lane
Enhanced landscaping
Parallel parking on both sides of the street

The new layout will reduce traffic delays, make it easier to visit your favorite local shops and create a safer environment for everyone, whether you’re behind the wheel or walking the shops.

📺 Watch the video below to see all the details.
For more information on the project visit buckeyeaz.gov/streetscape.
