The Firth Youth Center Interact Club, sponsored by the Phillipsburg Rotary, definitely is a club of action! On Wednesday, they helped the Fresh Stop Market get ready for their first Farm Share for the season. They sorted, organized, and packed the produce. Thank you for doing an exceptional job this year with your many service projects! Service Above Self!
NORWESCAP’s Fresh Stop Market is located at 403 South Main Street in Phillipsburg. Check it out!

Thirty two were in attendance at this week’s Phillipsburg Rotary meeting at La Bella Via as we celebrated our PHS Interact Club and all their stellar work this year (food pantries, ShopRite food drives, bake sales, nursing home visits, toy drives, etc.).
Also present were NORWESCAP, River of Life Food Pantry, Catholic Charities, Dr. Decker, and the Phillipsburg Senior Center to receive their annual donations and to share how the donations are used to help our community.
A Service Above Self and Unite for Good day!

During our last few meetings, the Phillipsburg Rotary has been reflecting on our last year and planning for our next year. During our Words of Inspiration, members shared why they joined Rotary.
• Chris: I retired from the Phillipsburg School district after 34 yrs and I wanted to reconnect with my hometown and community -to help and give back to many different facades of needs! Also to enjoy events and have fun!
• Betsy: After COVID, I was so bored and was looking for something to keep me busy. Rotary did that and more; connected with old friends and made new ones.
• Christal: I had many changes over the last few years in both my professional and personal life. Although I don’t have a lot of free time, I was looking for something more. And then, I was asked to join!
• Debbie: I was asked to join! And was glad to give back to a club that helped me as a 3rd grade teacher by supplying my students with dictionaries.
Why did you join Rotary?

The Phillipsburg Rotary completed its yearly planting service project at St. Anne’s Center at Grandma’s House with the help of some of the girls from the Adult and Teen Challenge Program. Thank you to Delaney Landscaping for donating the mulch again this year and to Laura for organizing this project. This project was definitely an example of our theme this year; Unite for Good! 😊

Bridget Kozelian, Director of Adult & Teen Challenge Women’s Program in Lebanon, NJ, was the speaker at the May 20 lunch meeting at Pizza Village Cafe.
The program is a faith-based rehab for those struggling with drugs and alcohol. Bridget spoke about her own life and the work she and her husband have done in the organization. The program has been in place for over 60 years and has locations in a number of New England states. Bridget spoke about the importance of their work and the difference they are making in people’s lives. Thank you, Laura, for arranging for this speaker to visit the Phillipsburg Rotary! Many of the girls from Adult and Teen Challenge also helped our club with our yearly planting service project at St. Anne’s Center at Grandma’s House! Service above Self!
