We are open at both locations and will remain open. The only effects we have from the fires are the smoke, Expect delays if coming from Hamilton. There is a Pilot Car es**rt from MM 13 to 17. Come enjoy the last 4 weeks of the mine being open for the 2026 summer season. We've got great gravel.

UPDATE: Skalkaho Pass Road is back open. Expect delays. Traffic will be lead by a Pilot Car.
The Black Bear fire 15 miles east of Hamilton temporarily closed MT 38, Skalkaho Pass on Tuesday, August 11th. The Road is back open today.

I did include a photo of the 16.95 carats sapphire twice! One with Joe (and a typo) and one close up so we can really see the gorgeous color and shape!

16.95 carats and perfectly cuttable. She looks very teal outside and purple inside.
