We do this by helping to facilitate design, research, and entrepreneurial projects across Drexel University. Founded in 2006, Drexel Smart House is a student led organization dedicated to promoting undergraduate research and public involvement in sustainability and advanced technologies through our Race St. Its purpose is three fold: to develop a mixed-use space promoting undergraduate research focused on advanced technologies and sustainable living, to create a community focused on personal responsibility with respect to sustainable living, and to connect student research with the professional world. Through the development of the Race Street property, Drexel Smart House is working to redefine urban sustainability for the modern world.
