It is with an abundance of safety that Seger Park and Seger Dog Park close its gates for the foreseeable future.

The City of Philadelphia, Department of Parks and Recreation is committed to the health and safety of those who visit the parks and the greater community and is requiring all parks to close.

We will notify everyone once the parks will be reopened.

Until then, be well and stay safe.

Hi All, to clarify, this event is being hosted by The Block Church from 5-8 pm on Halloween night at Seger Park.

We are sad to report that Seger Park will not be able to host a Halloween party this year.

Unfortunately, there were no adult volunteers able to help with the event and given the number of people historically attending, we felt it was ultimately not feasible or safe to host a successful party this year.

We would love to hold the Halloween party again next year, as well as other events throughout the year, but we need YOUR help!

If you are interested in volunteering for future events and/or as part of the FOSPP board, please let us know and keep an eye out for upcoming meetings to gauge such interest.

In the meantime, there are a number of fun Halloween activities scheduled for this weekend all around the city at neighboring parks including, Three Bears, Headhouse Square, Rittenhouse Square and others throughout the city. Check out their respective pages for more information.

Hi Neighbors! For anyone who goes to Seger Park Playground and would like to see more events happen, especially the Halloween party, we need more people involved. There will be a meeting tomorrow, Monday the 24th at 7:30pm and Sunday, the 30th at noon at the Rec Center. If you would like to get involved please come!
