After years of addiction, incarceration, and housing instability, Nate recently stepped into a new chapter- moving into an apartment of his own!

Along the way, he got clean, committed to recovery, volunteered in the kitchen, and found a community that believed in him. Here, he found more than a place to stay; he found freedom, connection, and people who saw him for who he is.

Today, he has a home to call his own, and a new future ahead. 🏠🎉

Experiencing homelessness is traumatic in itself, and many of our guests have experienced significant trauma throughout their lives. That’s why our approach is trauma-informed: we consider each person’s story and experiences as we provide support.

From the way we speak and interact with our guests to the spaces and experiences we create, we strive to build trust and hope. 💙

Everyone deserves a safe place to turn, a chance to heal, and someone who cares.

For someone experiencing homelessness, the weight of uncertainty can affect every part of life- including mental and emotional well-being.

At Philly House, we believe caring for our neighbors means caring for the whole person. Through shelter, meals, community, and compassionate support, we help men find stability, rebuild their lives, and remember that they are not alone. 🙏
