"This right here is a stepping stone for me to rebuild my life.”- Tony 👣

After experiencing homelessness and moving from shelter to shelter, Tony found his way to Philly House. Today, he has a safe place to sleep, three meals a day, and a community of support. He spends his time volunteering in the kitchen and helping with housekeeping and maintenance while working toward permanent housing.

“[Your support] means that I have a steady and safe place to lay my head. I don’t have to look over my shoulder. I don’t have to stay awake all night long, and then go sleep somewhere else during the day.”

There’s more to Philly House than meals and shelter.

Through our Art & Music programs, our guests can express themselves, discover creativity, and connect through the arts. Our partnerships with the Wilma Theater Portable Studio and Curtis Institute of Music bring storytelling, poetry, songwriting, visual art and interactive musical performances directly to Philly House.

After experiencing homelessness for nearly three years, Benjamin came to Philly House looking for stability and an opportunity to move forward.

During his time here, he earned a certificate in Digital Navigating, received a laptop to continue building his skills, and has been working toward his goal of returning to the workforce.

For Benjamin, Philly House has been more than a place to stay. It has given him the time, support, and “shield” he needed to pursue a better future.
