MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of HUMANITY UNITED INC. is to improve the conditions of the community by creating strategies, to positively impact diverse and underserved communities with a special emphasis on children and young adults. ABOUT US

HUMANITY UNITED INC. is a change agent non–profit organization committed to improve the quality of life for at risk and underserved communities. was creat

ed in 2013 by individuals (Theodore Lewis, Orin Luckey) who lived within the community and saw firsthand the negative impact of gun violence, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, and the lack of elder care in the community. No longer willing to stay on the sidelines, these individuals united to develop a strategy that would provide resources to address the welfare of those less advantaged. They recognized as members of society that there is a responsibility to create a plan that will make a positive impact on members of the community. HUMANITY UNITED INC is non denominational, and designed to address a diverse community. supports the mantra that a healthy community is vital for our nation to be healthy; we seek to leverage relationships with community leaders, politicians, key-stakeholders to advance its mission. will use special events such as clothing drives, lunch programs, and community updates and safe havens for at-risk youth and design course that range from conflict resolution to sex education. In addition, HUMANITY UNITED INC. recognizes that Seniors are an important segment of the community. They should be honored and respected. We will provide Elder Care Programs that range from transportation pick up, and Meals on Wheels Programs to CPR training for Seniors and/or their caregivers.

Updated
CDC Guidance for Respiratory Viruses

Some groups are more at risk than others – you may want to take more precautions around higher-risk groups to prevent serious illness. Risk factors include:

Older adults - the number one age group hospitalized for COVID and flu

Children under 5-the number one age group hospitalized for RSV

People with a weakened immune system

People with certain disabilities and health conditions

Pregnant people

If you are sick with a respiratory virus, stay home until for at least 24 hours, until your symptoms improve and you're fever-free without fever reducing medication. When you return to normal activities, take extra precautions for the next 5 days.

Take steps for cleaner air

Practice good hand hygiene and clean commonly touched surfaces

Mask when around others

Physically distance

Test before meeting others indoors
