Great news! The Wardrobe's Open Wardrobe event this month is for EVERYONE! Head to one of the Wardrobe locations on Wednesday, June 24th, between 11:00 am - 5:00 pm for your chance to update your closet!

Open Wardrobe is a day set aside each month to provide free clothing without an appointment time to a specific population. This allows people to “shop” with their peers and receive additional support as needed. Open Wardrobe events also include complimentary services such as educational workshops, resource tables, and additional apparel not normally available.

Open Wardrobe participants receive six items of clothing plus accessories (i.e. shoes, jewelry, scarves, belts) as available. Due to their donated inventory, sizes and selections can not be guaranteed.

Jamie is Jamie: A Book Bout Being Yourself and Playing Your Way - Afsaneh Moradian; Illustrated by Maria Bogade

There are so many fun things to play with at Jamie's new preschool—baby dolls to care for, toy cars to drive—and Jamie wants to play with them all! But the other children are confused by Jamie's gender expression . . . is Jamie a boy or a girl? Some toys are just for girls and others are just for boys, aren't they? Not according to Jamie!
Join Jamie's new friends as they learn the importance of cooperation, creativity, and empathy. Jamie Is Jamie is a great way to start a conversation with children about gender expression by:
challenging gender stereotypes, showing readers that playing is fundamental to learning, and
reinforcing the idea that all children need the freedom to play unencumbered. A special section for teachers, parents, and caregivers provides tips on how to make children's playtime learning time.

Pequeña Mariquita - Escrito e Ilustrado por Kevin O'Malley

Pequeño Mariquita está decidido a aprender a volar... ¡hoy mismo! Pero volar no es tan fácil como parece. Requiere algunas caídas, mucha paciencia y un buen empujón de ánimo (además de ayuda para levantarse del suelo) por parte de papá. Algunos bichitos se rendirían... pero no Pequeño Mariquita.
