A Heat Health Emergency goes into effect at 11am today activating emergency heat programs like cooling centers, the Heatline, and other resources to help beat the heat. There are over 50 cooling centers throughout the city. To find yours, visit phila.gov/coolingcenters

Due to extremely hot conditions, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health has issued a Heat Health Emergency beginning today, June 11 at 11:00 a.m., and ending Friday, June 12 at 8:00 p.m.

The CREJ Fund supports community-based organizations in Philadelphia that are working on environmental justice initiatives. It awards $30,000 grants (with a two-year grant agreement) to 12 projects in:
✅Circularity & Waste Reduction
✅ Climate Emergency Preparedness
✅ Energy Burden & Heat Resilience
✅ Food Sovereignty & Land Security
✅ Indoor Air Quality
