What motivated you to give blood for the first time?
Aaron takes his health seriously and made his first donation out of “curiosity.”
"It's kind of like a way to get a health check just to say, ‘oh, you know, my hemoglobin is good or iron levels are fine,’" he shared while donating at a Delco blood drive over the summer.
He's given blood at least 10 times since his first donation.
"I've been donating for quite some time, and I feel good doing it," he said. "It just makes me feel like a better person, contributing to helping others."
Aaron uses the time he's on the donation table to relax and says it's almost like meditating. He also describes the donation experience as pain free!
Every 2 seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood, and donors are needed 365 days a year. Schedule an appointment to help ensure blood is available wherever and whenever it's needed.
