SPRING/SUMMER EVENT PLANNING:VIRTUAL BRAINSTORMING SESSION

As we look forward to the warmer months, it’s time to start shaping the Spring/Summer season at Malcolm X Park! We are hosting a virtual brainstorming and calendar planning meeting to coordinate a vibrant schedule of community-led activities.
We want to hear your most creative ideas for bringing our neighbors together. Whether it’s fitness, arts, or educational workshops, help us fill the park with life this year.

How to Prepare:

To make this session as productive as possible, please come ready with the following:

Concrete Event Ideas: What would you like to see or lead in the park?

Proposed Dates/Times: Check your calendar for specific days or evenings you have in mind.

Community Alignment: All proposed events must be free of cost to the public and align with the mission of The Friends of Malcolm X Park.
Our goal is to create a diverse and accessible calendar that serves everyone in our community. We can't wait to see what you have in mind!

🌟 Join the Vision Zero Ambassador Program!🌟

Hey, community members ! We’re excited to announce an amazing opportunity to make our neighborhoods safer and more vibrant! The Vision Zero Ambassador Program is looking for outgoing and motivated individuals to help spread the word about Vision Zero and traffic safety.

As a Vision Zero Ambassador, you’ll engage with your neighbors, share important safety messages, and collaborate with other ambassadors to create impactful initiatives. This program not only focuses on traffic safety but also empowers you to take an active role in your community.

Key Details:
- Training Dates: Tuesday, March 3 or Thursday, March 5, with a follow-up training on Thursday, March 12.
- Program Effort Incentive: For your time and effort, ambassadors can earn a stipend of $1,750 based on reported completion of the program.
- Minimum Commitment: Participate in at least eight engagement activities to help lower- and moderate-income communities stay informed.

👉 Application Deadline: Midnight on February 1.
👉 Eligibility: Must be 18 years or older.
